Royal Navy Vosper MTB flotillaAt the outbreak of war, Britain had 3 formed MTB flotillas, precious few to cover the worlds largest empire. But with judicious use of what were pre war civilian boatyards and the huge resources of their empire and help from the USA, the Coastal Forces would in 1944 have 25,000 sailors in over 2000 small craft! These Flotillas, enhanced by Commonwealth, Dutch, Norwegian, French, and other free forces sank over 400 enemy vessels, including 48 E boats

All plasma weapons have a defect inherent in plasma coils in that they gradually weaken over time

though even here they try to ensure the drones can be used in a non-military role

This decision was soon reversed

The fate of most was a watery grave at the hands of Allied escorts and aircraft or scuttling at the hands of the Royal Navy during Operation Deadlight in the winter of 1945/46
